Elsewedy Cables Achieves Bureau Veritas Type Approval for Marine and Shipbuilding Cables

Elsewedy Cables has achieved Bureau Veritas Type Approval for its Marine and Shipbuilding Cables, marking a new milestone in the expansion of its specialized cable portfolio.

The company's marine cable range is designed for a wide variety of applications, including ships, tugboats, offshore units, naval vessels, and yachts.

The approval reflects Elsewedy Cables' continued commitment to quality, reliability, and compliance with internationally recognized marine standards. It further strengthens the company's ability to serve the marine and offshore sectors with solutions engineered to meet stringent safety and performance requirements.

The certification was evaluated against a comprehensive range of IEC standards, including IEC 60092, covering essential performance requirements such as flame retardancy, fire resistance, halogen-free performance, and low smoke emission.

These properties are critical for demanding marine operating environments, where safety and dependable performance are essential. The certified solutions also align with the safety principles of SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), the international framework governing ship safety.

This achievement supports Elsewedy Cables' broader growth strategy by expanding its certified product portfolio and strengthening its presence in specialized markets.

Drawing on decades of cable manufacturing expertise, Elsewedy Cables continues to develop solutions that address evolving customer requirements across the global marine and offshore sectors.
