NM Group Showcases Caydence and PLS-CADD Modelling at Power Transmission & Distribution Technology EXPO 2026

NM Group will exhibit at Power Transmission & Distribution Technology EXPO 2026 in Cologne, showcasing how it helps transmission and distribution utilities build precise, reliable digital models of their networks. The focus is on two areas: PLS-CADD design and modelling, and Caydence, NM Group’s 3D GIS visualisation platform.

PLS-CADD design and modelling
NM Group’s engineers turn LiDAR survey data into engineering-grade PLS-CADD models of overhead lines. These models give utilities an accurate picture of their lines as they really are, including conductor positions, tower geometry and clearances to ground, vegetation and structures. Utilities use them to support clearance analysis, thermal uprating, refurbishment and new line design, helping engineering teams plan work with confidence.

Caydence: 3D GIS visualisation platform
Caydence is NM Group’s cloud-based platform that brings engineering, asset and vegetation data together in one collaborative 3D environment. Teams can explore towers, spans, conductors and surrounding vegetation, see risks in context, and share insights across the organisation, turning complex data into clear, practical decisions.
