Compression Cable Lugs & Connectors

A-1 Electricals Stand: 9050
Construction & Materials Barrel Design
  • Manufactured from seamless or forged high‑conductivity copper or aluminium to ensure uniform grain flow and superior mechanical strength.
  • Optimised barrel wall thickness to achieve controlled deformation during crimping.
  • Precisely dimensioned internal diameter to suit standard conductor classes (Class 2, 5, and 6).

Palm / Contact Area (for Lugs)
  • Flat palm with machined or forged contact surface for maximum electrical contact.
  • Palm thickness designed to withstand tightening torque without distortion.
  • Optional inspection hole for conductor visual confirmation.

Surface Protection
  • Electro‑tin plating (typically 8–20 μm) for corrosion resistance and compatibility with aluminium or tinned copper conductors.
  • Smooth plated finish reduces oxidation and contact resistance over service life.

Electrical & Mechanical Performance
  • Low Contact Resistance – Achieved through full circumferential compression.
  • High Tensile Strength – Exceeds conductor breaking force when crimped correctly.
  • Thermal Stability – Maintains performance under cyclic loading and temperature rise.
  • Vibration Resistance – Permanent cold‑weld type joint prevents loosening.

Standards & Compliance
A‑1 Electricals compression cable lugs and connectors are manufactured and tested in accordance with:
  • IEC 61238‑1 (Electrical connectors for power cables)
  • DIN 46235 / DIN 46329 / DIN 46267 (Pt 1 & 2) / DIN 46234 (as applicable)
  • BS 4579 / BS 7609 (as applicable)
  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • CE & RoHS Compliant
