Precimeasure Smart Breather

The Precimeasure Smart Breather is designed for any equipment where moisture ingress must be controlled. Fully maintenance-free and self-regenerative, it extends asset life while reducing overall maintenance costs. Available in 2 kg, 4 kg, and 8 kg models, it offers flexibility to suit different transformer capacities and applications.

The device operates on dual silica gel columns. When one column reaches the preset relative humidity value, it automatically heats for a defined cycle to remove absorbed moisture and then cools before resuming operation. During regeneration, an electrically operated valve ensures the heated column is sealed, while the other column continues normal breathing. Regeneration can also be scheduled by time intervals, or in advanced models, controlled by a dew-point sensor at the conservator outlet. Dew-point–based regeneration overrides all other modes to ensure maximum protection. Each column includes a water collection provision for monitoring extracted moisture.

The Smart Breather integrates seamlessly with modern control systems. Standard Modbus RS-485 outputs allow direct connectivity to control room PCs or SCADA, while optional USB, IEC 61850, and GSM communication provide extended flexibility. With 4–20 mA outputs, data logging, and full SCADA compatibility, it delivers real-time monitoring, configuration, and analysis both on-device and through optional software.
