Alan Ross
Alan Ross recently retired from and was the Founder and President of the Electric Power Reliability Alliance (EPRA), leading the alliance to build electric system reliability in the industrial and commercial marketplace. He is currently a cofounder and voluntary co-chair of the Electrical Safety and Reliability Association, (ESaRA).
He is also the cofounder and is currently the CEO and Managing Editor of APC Media, a digital communications company focused on the power industry in Europe and the Americas, with industry alliances with IEEE PES, NETA, Energy Central, Cigre NA, Energiahoy in Mexico, WIRES, DistribuTech, CWEIMI, CoilTech, and many other event and nonprofit associations.
As CEO of Corporate Development Institute for over three decades, he worked with Boards and C level leaders with over 32 companies directly, and hundreds more through the Masters Institute Program.
Alan has published articles in Solutions, Efficient Plant, Plant Engineering and Uptime and has authored two books: Unconditional Excellence published by Adams Media and Beyond World Class published by Dearborn Press. He has presented at numerous conferences and industry events on power system quality and reliability.
Alan was born in Scotland and spent his younger years in Canada, emigrating to Atlanta, Georgia where he met and married the love of his life, Sara. Alan has two sons; Patrick married to Silvia living in London and Michael, married to Ana living in LA, and their daughter Maya and son Callum.
He completed his undergraduate work in Mechanical Engineering/ at Georgia Institute of Technology and MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University.
