Drone + e-field insulator testing for HV powerlines
We present a unique system for insulator testing for HV powerlines based on a drone and e-field reader. The technological platform that allows standard drones to operate in contact with energized insulators will be fully described. Moreover, we will show real data to better understand how easily damages can be spotted during the testing. Finally, we will outline an innovative BVLOS application for inspections of powerlines with DRB patented navigation system.
