Enhancing Transformer Lifecycle Management through Thermal-DGA Correlation
Enhancing Transformer Lifecycle Management through Thermal-DGA Correlation and Cooling Optimization Effective transformer lifecycle management requires transitioning from static monitoring to integrated, condition-based diagnostics. My presentation will explore the critical synergy between thermal stress and dielectric degradation by correlating real-time oil temperature data with online Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA). By mapping gas generation rates against dynamic thermal cycles, operators can distinguish between benign thermal expansion and incipient insulation faults, accurately assessing true asset health. Furthermore, cooling control optimization strategy will be proposed, which optimizes cooling performance based on real-time health metrics. This approach maximizes grid capacity and extends asset longevity while mitigating unnecessary thermal degradation.
