IT-supported methods for grid restoration with high share of renewable energy
Joran Schneyer (Amprion GmbH) and Katrin Fernholz (DNV Energy Systems Germany GmbH) will present the innovative project on IT-supported methods for grid restoration with high share of renewable energy, which Amprion is developing as the first European transmission grid operator in cooperation with Westnetz (DSO). The methods were developed as part of research projects with the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and are currently implemented by DNV.
The software solution will standardize data exchange, replace individual phone-based coordination by standardized workflows, and make grid restoration manageable even in situations with high feed-ins from renewable energy sources. Once the software has been completed, it will be available to other network operators as part of the envisaged roll-out.
