Resilient time synchronization for digital substations
Digitalization is reshaping modern substations, and resilient time synchronization is a key enabler for this transition. This presentation covers the move towards IEC 61850, PTP, PRP and HSR-based architectures, while highlighting the continued need to support legacy signals such as IRIG-B and impulse interfaces. Using the DTS 4163.grandmaster as an example, the session shows how utilities can modernize step by step without compromising reliability or existing infrastructure.
