Wirescan delivers advanced diagnostics and monitoring of power cables using its patented LIRA® (Line Impedance Resonance Analysis) technology. LIRA is a non-destructive method that measures cable impedance across a wide frequency range, enabling early detection of degradation, joint defects, and hidden faults long before failure occurs.

Wirescan will present how LIRA supports a shift from reactive “fail and fix” approaches to predictive, condition-based maintenance. By analysing the electrical characteristics of the cable itself, LIRA provides highly accurate fault detection and precise localisation, along with key indicators such as spot signature and ΔG for global condition assessment.

LIRA can be deployed offline with LIRA One for commissioning, troubleshooting, and periodic testing, and online with LIRA Live for continuous monitoring of energised assets. In its offline configuration, LIRA is capable of testing cable lengths up to 300 km without applying high voltage or stressing the asset.
