TSO - DSO coordination in a flexibility market

As the energy transition progresses, the need for flexibility in the electricity system is increasing. Therefore, new congestion management measures are needed.

We will present an example of Finland, where Fingrid (TSO) and Helen Sähköverkko (DSO) are piloting a new marketplace solution for congestion management using the NODES Platform.

The NODES platform enables the emergence of local flexibility markets where flexibility service providers can participate at all levels of the grid. NODES™ platform provides an end-to-end service that allows grid operators both DSOs or TSOs to set up a market, buy flexibility and compensate flexibility service providers.
