Saloni is an Associate Director in Grant Thornton UK’s Energy Transition practice. Her global sector experience consists of advising governments, utilities, and integrated energy companies on their commercial and investment strategies. 

While based in the United States, she worked on federal government projects to modernise power grid infrastructure across the country and was a policy liaison for FERC working with industry on transmission regulations. In Asia, she was based in Singapore with Wood Mackenzie where she was responsible for energy supply modelling, forecasting analysis, and advising energy corporations and national oil companies on their energy transition strategies.  

At present, her core role at Grant Thornton UK includes advising transmission owners and operators such as National Grid on regulatory mechanisms to bolster grid investment and build out of new infrastructure. She is passionate about helping clients explore strategic opportunities in the offshore transmission sector, and much of her recent work consists of advising DESNZ and NESO on cross-border investment into the UK and EU electricity markets.
